Frequency of 30-Day Readmission and Its Causes After Endovascular Aneurysm Intervention of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (from the Nationwide Readmission Database)
Endovascular Aneurysm Intervention (EVAI) is one of the most frequently performed vascular interventions for the treatment of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA). This contemporary study looks at various demographics between 2010 2014 that were contributing to the 30-day readmission after being discharged from the hospital after the EVAI procedure. It emphasizes the importance of best practices and preventative measures to reduce this rate. The study concluded that the data is poorly reported. Nearly 1 in 10 patients were readmitted within 30 days after being discharged from an EVAI procedure.
